Paddo Bowls

LOCATION - Paddington is just a 5-10 minute drive east from Sydney's CBD. Buses run to Jersey Road Woollahra and trains to Edgecliff Station from where it is a short walk to the club.

DESCRIPTION - This club has evolved into a friendly and relaxed venue for all ages. It is renown for its terrific atmosphere and of course corporate or social barefoot bowls. This pastime has become a popular way to spend a morning or afternoon with friends or colleagues - in fact it is an ideal way to socialise with your work mates. The dress code is casual, more evident when you understand that no shoes are to worn on the greens! The Sports Bar is open daily, there are two function rooms catering for up to 100 guests, and the PBC Restaurant and Bistro is open daily, providing quality cuisine to suit all occasions.

FOOD AND BEVERAGE - The Sports Bar is a great place to catch up with your mates and is open from 11am till late daily. You must enter the club by 10pm though, even if it is staying open till later. The Sports Bar serves a full range of beer, spirits and cocktails at reasonable prices. The PBC Restaurant is proud of its 5 star chefs who can offer canapes for cocktail events, a BBQ menu or sit down dining for the more discerning client. It is open daily from 12noon until 9pm.

SOCIAL BOWLS - Barefoot Bowls and a few beers at Paddington Bowling Club, a great way to spend an afternoon. The cost is just $12 per person on Saturday and Sunday* and you can bring as many people as you like! There are some roaming instructors available on the weekends who can give you tips on how to correctly roll the ball, what the equipment is for, how to score and what the objective of the game is. Feel free to ask for their advice. This is a very social game with up to sixteen players in a lane (Two teams of eight). Meals and drinks can be enjoyed around the greens as you play and the whole atmosphere is one of quiet relaxation.

The greens are open from 11:00am until 8:00pm and there are 3 bowling sessions:
Session 1: 11-2pm/Session 2: 2-5pm/Session 3: 5-8pm.

FUNCTION FACILITIES - The club has two private function rooms for hire. The conference room caters for up to 80 people theatre style whilst the PBC Restaurant is perfect for a cocktail event for up to 100 guests.

If you have a large group who wish to bowl, the club can accommodate up to 272 people, in 17 lanes of 16 people, 2 teams of 8 in each lane. Book your own "Bowls Butler" who will show you the techniques, how to score and even look after your drinks and food if you prefer. He is at your service!
